Running Injuries

Running injuries are frustrating we know, because we’re runners too.

Between us, we bring 28 years of physiotherapy experience alongside first-hand understanding of what it feels like when injury interrupts the thing you love most. For many people, running is far more than exercise. It supports mental wellbeing, social connection, routine, and identity. That’s why our aim isn’t simply to treat an injury it’s to help you keep running where possible and return safely when you can’t.

Starting with the right assessment:

Every injury is different, so your journey always begins with a thorough physiotherapy assessment. This allows us to understand your specific injury, training history, goals, and the demands of your running.

From there, we create a clear plan that may include:

  • A tailored training programme, or careful adaptation of the one you already follow

  • A structured rehabilitation programme to rebuild strength and resilience

  • Guidance on safe activity modification and load management

  • Adjunct treatments such as soft tissue massage or taping, where helpful

Everything is shaped around your injury, your running, and your goals.

Keeping you running:

We always try to work with your running, not against it. In many situations, complete rest isn’t necessary. With the right guidance, runners can often continue training in a modified and safe way while recovering.

Simple, effective rehab:

We believe the most powerful tools are often the simplest.

Our approach focuses on:

  • Strength and conditioning to build robust, injury-resistant runners

  • Structured treatment planning that progresses as you recover

  • Education and understanding so you feel in control of your injury

We don’t rely on fancy machines or quick fixes. Instead, we focus on what creates long-term change giving you the knowledge, strength, and confidence to manage injuries yourself.

Our promise to runners:

Where it's safe and appropriate, our aim is to keep you running during rehabilitation rather than automatically advising complete rest.

Every plan is tailored to your injury, goals and training demands.
